Obituary of Dolly Fynn
Dolly (Maureen Stella Ann) Fynn
Dolly Fynn peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday May 29, 2022, in Dawson Creek BC, where she was a long-time resident.
The oldest of five girls, Dolly was born to Maurice and Emma Edinger on January 16, 1937, in Dawson Creek, BC. When she passed, she was 85 years young.
Dolly is survived by her children: Margaret Olsen (Aaron) and Bradley Drott (Barb); stepchildren: Lisa and Lori Fynn; grandchildren: Nicole Maynard (Andrew), Kyle Duperron (Meaghan), Jennifer Chapman (Kolton), Kristopher Drott (Haley); as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and so many friends, who loved her dearly.
It is well known that Dolly loved having a house full of people. Whether it be at the farm on Reasbeck Road, in Pouce Coupe, or Dawson Creek, she was always happy serving the best baked goods-buns, carrot cakes, cinnamon buns, tarts, fudge, and various other goodies. It was rare for anyone to decline an invitation to a meal at Dollys as she was always cooking big breakfasts and holiday dinners for her friends and family. Many memories were made around Grandma Dollys table. Thankfully, Dolly was always willing to share her recipes though theres a slight chance an ingredient or two would be left out just to keep things interesting (of course, she would swear that is absolutely not true).
All who knew Dolly will attest that she was a hardworking, sassy, wise, and fiercely loyal woman. Dolly was thoughtful, marginally patient, and always willing to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. She was a rock to many people especially her family. Dolly will be forever cherished and missed.
For friends and family so wishing, donations may be made in Dollys memory to the Dawson Creek Hospital Foundation at Dawson Creek & District Hospital Foundation (dchospitalfoundation.ca) which provided compassionate and dignified care to our girl, Dolly. Rest in Peace
Very Respectfully, Reynars Funeral Home and Crematorium
