Obituary of Walter Reid

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Walter George Reid, long-time resident of Rolla, British Columbia, on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at the age of 77 years. Walter was born in Fort St John, British Columbia, on July 14, 1945, to George and Katherine Reid, the baby of a family of 4. Walter grew up on a farm north of Fort St John. Walter met the love of his life, Diane Blue, when he was 22 and they got married February 8, 1969. Their Son Tyler was born in 1970 and their son Aaron was born 1972. Walter lived a simple life and loved his family dearly. He had a ready smile and a twinkle in his eye all the time. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ. One of Walters favorite sayings was From the day you are born to your ride in the hearse aint nothin so bad that couldnt be worse Walter is predeceased by his parents George and Katherine; son Aaron; siblings Maurice (Grace), Jean (Don), Bert (Fran) He will be greatly missed by his wife Diane; sons Tyler (Colleen), Brian Genson, Betty Blue Bishop (Desmond); grandchildren Elliott, Jade, Cody, Jennifer, Devon, Amy, Erin; great grandchildren Nico, Karmine, Macee, Macie, Kira, Ezri, Torias, Waylon, Emily; as well as many extended family and friends. The family wishes to invite you to a Celebration of Life for Walter that will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Bethel Pentecostal Church, 11501 17st, Dawson Creek, BC, There will be a luncheon to follow.
