Obituary of Glen Mead
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glen Mead, a resident of Dawson Creek, British Columbia. Glen died in Prince George, British Columbia, on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the age of 61 years.
Glen was born in Kitimat, British Columbia, and moved to Gundy, Alberta as a young boy with his family for adventures in farming and rural life. Always interested in nature and outdoors, he snowshoed, trapped, fished, and explored the back country. He was always taking books out of the school library about building log cabins, as well as bee and rabbit keeping.
As a young adult, Glen completed a pre-apprenticeship carpentry course and excelled at his work. He was a loyal person and always made time to make conversation with someone in the community.
Glen is predeceased by his father Derek, mother Rita, brother David, and nephew Christopher.
Glen is survived by his sister Carolyn Mead (husband Andre), and nieces Miriya, Olivia, and Nicole.
