My grandmother Linda told me to call her Auntie Linda and so that’s how I will always remember her. The first time I visited her at her salon in Dawson Creek, she took one look at me and said “oh honey we need to fix that unibrow”. It was the first time I ever got my eyebrows waxed and I was happy to have her do it. Auntie Linda made sure she was here to attend my graduation in 2016, she did my hair with her amazing stylist skills and ensured I was dazzling on my walk down the aisle to my diploma. I will always treasure those memories. When my mother passed, her daughter, she accompanied me on the flight to Dauphin to say our goodbyes to Phedra. Linda held me so tightly and told me she was very proud of the woman I was becoming. We will all miss her dearly, may she rest in peace.
