Obituary of Mike Michaud

"When we were growing up as children in Dawson Creek, the only radio station that was broadcasting in this area was CJDC. As we listened to the 'top hits' it always made us so proud when that big voice would come over the air stating "You're Listening To The Big One", and we could proudly say, "That's Our Dad". No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it and only God knows why. We take comfort in knowing that you are free from pain and your beautiful spirit is now at peace. Take care Dad; you are forever in our hearts. I am blessed to have shared so much of my life with a man of such high caliber and strong conviction. He was my mentor... My encouragement... My life and I will always be grateful that he loved me. I am not worthy of such a man, but he asked me to be strong.. That I'd be OK. His unshakeable belief in God and his magnificent soul give me strength. . His beautiful spirit surrounds and comforts me. He will always be my hero. I will see him again. Till then.. Take care now." Mrs. Verna Michaud (wife of 45 years) - Dawson Creek Mike was predeceased by his parents: Wilfred Band Marie Blanche Michaud, Sister Bertha, Brothers Roland, Omer, Eli and Henry Michaud. Mike was born on November 18th, 1928 in Pouce Coupe, B.C. He passed away on August 25th, 2007 in Dawson Creek, B.C. A celebration of Mike's life was held on Wednesday, August 29th, 2007 at 2:00 pm from Reynars Funeral Chapel, Reverends David and Phyllis Roch officiated.
