Obituary of Byron German
Byron German of Chetwynd, B.C. passed away peacefully in the Dawson Creek Hospital September 10, 2007. Byron was 84 years old.
Born September 20, 1922 in Hanna, Alberta, he was the son of Christopher George German and Trella Ione (Woodle) German. Byron spent his youth and teenage years in Hanna.
At the age of 18 he met Audrey Elizabeth Annie Davidson (Peggy) they married one year later on November 8, 1941.
Through the years Byron farmed, ran a dairy & ranched buying and selling cattle. In 1962 moved to Calgary where he sold Real Estate for approximately 3 years. Then Byron took an interest in pipeline work and became a pipeline inspector until retirement.
Byron is survived by his wife Peggy German of 66 years and there four children. Larry German (Thelma), Dixie Hardy (Alvin), Betty Milligan and Carol Furlotte (Roger). Byron is also survived by seven grandchildren seventeen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
A celebration and reception of Byron's life was held on September 13, 2007 at 2:00 pm from Reynar's Funeral Chapel in Dawson Creek, B.C.
Internment will be at a later date in Hanna, Alberta.
Byron will be deeply missed as a husband, father, grandfather, great grand father, great great grandfather and friend.
