Obituary of John Spangler
John Spangler born in Berwyn, Alberta, on December 12, 1932. As a young boy he moved with his parents and brother and sister to Chinook Valley, Alberta.
He came to the Dawson Creek area in 1947 where he later married and started a family in 1952.
John loved the long haul trucking. A career he started when he was only a teenager. Travelling the highways, being behind the big wheel was in his blood. He worked for many big and small trucking companies, but loved working for Spangler Transport Ltd. with his son, Vern best of all.
John was predeceased by his parents Harold and Mary Spangler and his son, Vern in 2004. He is survived by his daughter - Rosalie (Rocky) of Powell River, B. C., Granddaughters - Starley (Mike) of Grande Prairie, Alta., Rachel and Amanda of Powell River, B. C., Sister June (Buster) of Winfield, B. C., and brother Jim (Toni) of Kelowna.
John will be missed by family and friends.
With respect to John's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
