Obituary of John Theodore "J.R." Regenwetter
It is with great sorrow that the family of John Regenwetter announces his death on June 15, 2008 at the Dawson Creek Hospital in Dawson Creek, B.C.
John was born on a farm near Sylvania, Saskatchewan, to Henry and Ledia Regenwetter.
In 1961, John moved his young family to Dawson Creek where he was active in the community in baseball, hockey and curling. J.R., as he was known, was also an avid hunter and fisherman, and a member of the Elks Club.
He is survived by his wife Mavis, daughter Noreen (Tony) Willingdon; daughter Shelley; son Michael (Chris), grandchildren Jason and Amanda and great-granddaughter Mila; daughter Lisa; and son Blair; sisters Lena Weston; Rosella (Robert) Brown; Alice (Norman) Demish; Irene (William) Paskeruk; and brother David (Cheryl) Regenwetter and other treasured family members.
John was pre-deceased by his parents and sisters Shirley (Ed) Rudiger and Louise (Paul) Lorroff. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Dawson Creek Hospital for their consideration and care.
With respect to John's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held at this time.
