Bruce's life was a tapestry of diverse experiences and meaningful connections. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Veronica, and a loving father to his children, Kent (Ricci-Lee), Casey (Jeanne), and Crystal (Alan). His presence will be deeply missed by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

 

Throughout his life, Bruce embraced a variety of careers, each reflecting his strong work ethic and determination. From his days as a bus driver and city worker to his time as a grader and equipment operator, Bruce's dedication to his work was unwavering. However, it was his role as a pilot truck driver on the Alaska Highway that truly captured his heart. The open road and the breathtaking landscapes became his second home, and he cherished every moment spent behind the wheel.

 

After retiring, Bruce found joy in using his hands to fix and build things around the house and yard. Whether he was lending a helping hand to his neighbors by mowing lawns in the summer or plowing snow in the winter, Bruce's generosity knew no bounds. His warm smile and willingness to lend a hand endeared him to all who knew him. He always had a story to share, and his presence brightened the lives of those around him.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held for Bruce on February 18, 2024, at the Taylor Community Hall. Family, friends, and all who were touched by Bruce's kindness are invited to join in honoring his memory. Refreshments will be served between 1pm and 4pm, providing an opportunity for all to come together and share their cherished memories of Bruce.

 

Bruce's final resting place will be at the Columbarium in the Peace Valley Cemetery in Taylor, BC. His spirit will forever reside in the hearts of those who loved him, and his memory will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
