Obituary of Tony Soucy

Tony Soucy, a resident of Pouce Coupe, BC, left us suddenly on Monday, August 12, 2019 in Pouce Coupe, at the age of 16 years. The Universe has a plan. Whether we like or understand that plan, it still has one. With all the questions we have, that's the only answer I could come to. When I think about it though, Tony was an old soul, forever caught between a man and a boy. I will forever miss our talks and his one liners that almost always made me choke on whatever I was drinking. He would laugh and just say for serious though. He was brilliant. What pains me the most is he must have forgot that. He was incredible; sweet, caring, and so funny. He loved being a brother, and an uncle. Loved the outdoors and anything to do with it, whether it was fishing, camping, and hiking. One trip last year he was our official boat rower and enjoyed giving everyone tours out on the lake. He also took great pride in grossing us out with the leaches that he'd pull off his skin all while laughing. His laugh was simply infectious. He was always up for a new adventure. His love for animals was a thing to behold. The patience he had for that cat, oh, my goodness. Tony was always there for his friends and his beloved girlfriend, Matilda. He especially loved helping his grandparents, and his Uncle Austin. He loved cars and learning everything about them; from their top speeds to their basic construction. He had big dreams, dreams that now go unrealized and unconquered. In closing we would like to thank the universe for giving us the short time we had with Tony and to reflect on the fact that he never really belonged to us. Now that he returns to the celestial bodies, he will take his place with our loved ones that have gone before him; to love and guide us along our paths until the day we meet him again in the great beyond. Tony is survived by his mother; Lacey McLeod ( Cory Bertrim), father; Derek Soucy (Jesse Kerr), siblings; Gage, Keira, Triston, Jesse, Jasmine, Alex and Jaxon, grandparents; Laurie & Len Hansen, Oscar Dumais & Darlene Hamilton, Mitch & Ina McNolty, Norma & Gary Kepecz and Don & Debbie Orford, great-grandparents; Ruby & Ben Dumais, Jackaline Orford and Jean Soucy, girlfriend; Matilda Sprecker, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, extended family and friends. Tony was predeceased by grandparents; Bill & Isabelle McLeod, great-grandparents; Richard Orford, Lorne Soucy and Evelyne Dumais.
