Obituary of Ann Craig

Ann Craig, resident of Dawson Creek, passed away on October 25, 2019 at the age of 68 years. Ann is survived by her husband David, three sons and daughters-in-law: Hugh (Nairena), Steven (Vanessa), Andrew (Lindsay), three grandchildren: Penelope, Sienna, and Carter; and her sister Norma. Ann was born in Burnaby, British Columbia on December 27, 1950. She attended school in Burnaby and later the University of BC where she graduated with a degree in Rehabilitation Medicine. While at university, Ann met her future husband, David, and they were married after Ann graduated. Ann and David moved to Kamloops, where Ann had a position at the Royal Inland Hospital. Three years later Ann and David moved to Dawson Creek where Ann took up her position at the Dawson Creek Hospital. After three years living in Dawson Creek, Ann and her husband and their first son moved to a farm in Sunrise Valley. The next two sons were born in the next five years. After being a city girl all her life, Ann quickly developed into a country girl. She became an avid gardener and developed many friends in the community. Ann had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed skiing, snowboarding, fly fishing and hiking. Ann had many friends in the Dawson Creek area and will be remembered for her cheerful nature and quick smile. A special thank-you goes out to the wonderful staff at the Rotary Manor who gave Ann care and comfort in her final years. By Ann's request there will be no formal funeral service. A small family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate her life. Expressions of sympathy may be made by donation to the Rotary Manor Care Facility - Activity Fund, 1121-90 Avenue, Dawson Creek, British Columbia V1G 5A3.
