Obituary of Timothy Dale Pfeifer

Timothy Dale Pfeifer

March 7th, 1960 - August 29th, 2023

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tim Pfeifer, resident of Dawson Creek, British Columbia, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the age of 63 years.

After a short battle, with a very aggressive cancer, he passed away peacefully with his wife Joeleen at his side.

Tim was born in Atikokan, Ontario and spent most of his childhood in Saskatchewan and Manitoba where as a young boy he grew up learning to bake alongside his father Elmer (predeceased) and, brothers Terry and Todd.

In his youth he was a very accomplished athlete winning many awards including Manitoba Athlete of the year. He was always passionate about fitness and won trophies arm wrestling as a young adult.

Tim lived an extraordinary life, living and working all throughout Canada, he truly experienced the beautiful landscape in all its glory. Whether it was diving in the Pacific Ocean when he worked as a gooey duck diver or foraging in the rainforest on Vancouver Island picking mushrooms, salal and blueberries.

During his career as a truck driver, Tim was able to explore North America further. He had many different opportunities in the trucking industry, and he was proud of his safety awards. Finally, it brought him to Dawson Creek with his second wife Joeleen. His eldest son Alex had moved here previously, also having a career in the trucking industry. This provided Tim with a great opportunity to live and work near his son and best friend.

Later his daughter and her husband moved here as well, Tim was overjoyed to have his family all in the same area. He always loved family gatherings.

Tim was a very loving and proud father of his three children. Unfortunately, he was predeceased by his middle child Holly who passed as a young infant.

Becoming a grandfather was something he was always excited about, and he was very good at filling the role.

Tim had a very warm and affectionate nature; he was strong and hardworking. He loved nature, the changing of the seasons, chilly weather, the colours of the forest after frost, animals, early mornings, good music, comfort food and most of all his family.

He was well known through the community for walking his beloved Great Dane Lincoln.

For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Tim to one of our local food banks.

Very Respectfully, Reynars Funeral Home & Crematorium
