Obituary of John Clifford Wiseman

John was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, on July 29, 1927. As a young child John moved with his family to Barrie, Ontario. He grew up to be a keen musician and music lover. John joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and became a member of the Air Force Band and toured with the band as a saxophone player and emceed many performances throughout North America and Europe. John was also a voracious reader, with a photographic memory and had a particular interest in history, especially the Civil War. John passed away peacefully on July 28, 2008 after a brief illness, with loved ones at his side, in Dawson Creek Hospital, Dawson Creek, B.C. John was predeceased by his loving wife Lucille and dear brothers Robert, James and Terry. He will be lovingly remembered by his son John (Lucie), daughters Wendy and Beth (Norm) and grandchildren Felix, Jenna, John, Gregory and Erik, his brother Frank (Sharon), and sisters Wilda and Rosemary, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A private graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery, Barrie, Ontario. For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of John to a charity of your choice.
